My story
Born in September 1973, Dahlia Gil Arias is an artist from Medellin, Colombia who has made her way among the new generations who possess modern styles, unlimited creativity and impressive techniques.
Her profession as a Graphic Designer, developed over more than 30 years, has allowed her to communicate, experiment, analyze and learn the different aspects of visual graphic communication and as a consequence she has developed her own and structured style using a vibrant color palette on some occasions and more sober, sophisticated and dark colors on others, depending on her routine motivations.
A lover of nature and endowed with great feminine energy, she manages to capture in her works the power of the forms of nature combined with straight lines that create harmony and invite a reinterpretation of what is seen. He uses mixed techniques of watercolor, acrylic, pencil, collage, among others, and when his works require it, he textures and gives shine and depth to the spaces on the canvas.
In the beginning, from the age of 7 he painted “Totumo” fruits that are used as artisanal containers in his country of origin, then, continuing with his exploratory process, he ventured into digital art as part of his work and finally with glass and ceramics, interior decoration and furniture painting, creating unique pieces of Artistic Mosaic.
Currently he is exclusively dedicated to developing his full artistic potential with a Contemporary Cubist style for the most part, although sometimes his roots expand into other techniques and styles, his essence always remains.
